Commissioned by the Pro Ideal City, Shanghai Zhenyuan Wood Structure is responsible for the detailed design and implementation of the project. This project is a high-quality community commercial complex that integrates a fresh produce market, lifestyle aesthetic retail, and fashionable dining. It aims to create an ideal living area and develop open, convenient, and shared public spaces, making it a venue for promoting community interaction and communication in the future.

A breathing street layout:

The team first broke up the plot where the market is located, creating three relatively independent building blocks that form pleasant inner streets. The axes that divide the blocks become the main movement paths for people in the residential area and on both sides of the park, and also form important transportation routes connecting the various functional blocks. The external street sections combine the gray space of the building for outdoor display arrangements, creating a vibrant commercial atmosphere and consumption scenarios.

Introducing humanized scale thinking into the overall design of the market building:

Through the thinking of the box's spatial prototype, we provided a complete set of modular and variable solutions for future business planning. While meeting the unified style of the overall building, we extended them according to the business needs of different businesses. When we placed these spaces inside the market, the originally empty "square" transformed into a well-arranged "street" with staggered layouts.

Presenting the comfort and warmth of the market with modern wood structure:

The Douglas fir wood and steel structure connect the modern wood structure, featuring lightweight structural characteristics, providing unlimited possibilities for constructing diverse spaces. The indoor roof is composed of purlins and rafters, with the purlins and rafters on the same plane, and the exposed wooden framework reflects the beauty of the structure.
